Hi!

I could save the image file from the C system drive into an USB connected external winchester.
unfortunately I have got a problem with the C and I want to restore.
I could start the PC with the Linux boot cd, I could select the image file from the external drive but starting the restore process, after answering for the few question, I have got an error message: Input/Output error, so the restore fails.
Can you help me why?

Regards,
Laszlo

Hi Laszlo

Can you look in your BIOS for 'Legacy' or 'IDE' mode for your disk controller?

You can also try the BartPE CD if you're running Windows XP. http://www.macrium.com/blog/2008/09/22/HowToCreateABartPERescueCDForMacriumReflect.aspx

Kind Regards

Hi Nick

The IDE mode has been checked, even modifying this I haven't got any success with the Linux CD.

Finally BartPE CD has been created - Windows XP is used - and the restore could be done without any problem!

Thanks a lot,
regards,
Laszlo
