Just installed Version 4.2.2525 and created Full and Incremental backup Definitions. Ran both successfully.

When I try and created schedules for either, at the end of the process after clicking on "FINISH" I get a Popup that says "Class not registered." I did a search in this forum and didn't find anything.

Hi

Sorry you are having problems.

The error is coming from the Windows Task Scheduler and indicates that the service might not be running.

Can you check that you are able to schedule tasks using the Windows Task scheduler?

Can you also check that the service is configured and running?

1. Click Start, click Control Panel (select clasic view in Vista/7), and then double-click Administrative Tools.

2. Click Computer Management.

3. Expand Services and Applications, and then click Services.

4. Right-click the Task Scheduler service, and then click Properties.

5. On the General tab, make sure that the startup type is set to automatic, and that the service status is Started. If the service is not running, click Start.

6. On the Log On tab, make sure that the local system account is selected, and that the Allow service to interact with desktop check box has a check mark.

7. Click OK, and then quit Computer Management.

Hope this helps

I found that the Task Scheduler service wasn't running. Unfortunately I can't get it started. Says Error 126: Module can't be found.

This an XP machine so I'm trying to figure out why I can't get the service started.

This post can be closed. Thanks.
