When backup is complete, a log entry is posted. At some time later, when program is restarted, log entries have disappeared ?
On occasion when backup is started, blue/white Windows failure appears. Usually, after restarting in Windows SAFE MODE, the backup can be completed but no log entry in produced. This problem also existed with V4 software.
These problems occur both during disk image and file backups with both V4 and V5 software. |

Hi
Thanks for your post. Sorry you are having problems.

This can only happen if the log file was deleted. Please check the application data folder for the log html files:
XP -'C:\Documents and Settings\all users\Application Data\Macrium\Reflect'
Vista/7 - 'C:\ProgramData\Macrium\Reflect'

If you are experiencing a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) during a volume shadow copy then this indicates serious system instability, probably hardware or driver related. If you have access to any Macrium Reflect logs that were created after a successful backup then this might give a clue, as will looking in your Windows Event log for errors at the time of failure.
1. Click the 'Log' tab. 2. Navigate to the log file. 3. Right click in the log window and select 'View Source'. 4. Save the file in the notepad window that opens and send it to support (at) macrium.com.
Kind Regards
Nick - Macrium Support
