I've searched the forums and "the google" and found only 4.x references to this, so the issue is probably mine, but I thought I'd ask here anyway.

New Win7 laptop, Reflect installed and scheduled backup job configured. Problem is the laptop doesn't wake from sleep for the backup, and I am greeted with the "Backup is about to begin" dialog box upon resume in the AM.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks much,
Mike

Hi,

Thanks for posting.

Are you sure that your system is not going into Hybernate? Your computer is actually powered down when in Hypernating.

Windows Task Scheduler is responsible for bringing Windows out of sleep and initiating Reflect to backup. Can you please check from within WTS to see that the backup is set to sleep from within the task.

Kind Regards,

Martin - Macrium Support

Hi Martin. Thanks for the reply.

I've verified that the computer is in sleep mode; in addition, I verified that "Wake computer for backup" is enabled on the Reflect Task.

Since it it WTS that brings the system out of sleep, I'll troubleshoot from there with some sample jobs to verify if that is working.

Thanks,
Mike
