I'm a new user of Macrium Reflect. Installation successful. I'm trying to create a bootable Windows PE USB stick.... followed the
tutorial "Create a bootable Windows PE USB stick"... downloaded and installed Windows PE component successfully... in step 5 of the tutorial it says "5. After the WindowsPE component installs...copy the contents of c:\boot\macrium to the root of the USB stick". I search for but could not find the directory c:/boot/macrium.
Is this tutorial current ?
Or, Did I miss something ?

It's probably a hidden folder.
Open windows explorer and go into the folder options and tell it to show hidden folders.

Hi,

Merlin is correct, I'm going to change the tutorial.

If you click start > run > type 'c:\boot\macrium' and press return that should open up the folder.

Sorry about that.

OK. I'll look again tonight. The rest of the tutorial was
very good... that's why I thought I had done something wrong.

I enabled the display of hidden files/directories.
There is NO directory named "c:\boot\macrium".
My computer is a HP Mini 210 with Windows 7 Home
Premium.

Hi

Windows PE is installed in the Windows boot drive, this may not be 'C'.

Please download and run 'PEInstallDetails.exe' from here:

http://updates.macrium.com/reflect/utilities/pedetails.exe

This will show a dialog with the installed directory for Windows PE.

Hope this helps

I executed the indicated program. It identified that c:\boot does exit. I once again tried to find the directory c:\boot\macrium, and this time, I FOUND IT ! I thought I had enabled the display of hidden files but I must have made mistake (I am new to Windows 7). Anyways, I'm on to the next step of copying the boot/macrium files to the root directory of the "prepared" USB memory stick, and then, testing the bootup of the USB memory stick. Thanks again.
